The Nawal Dog is the law, the Authority, for humankind and the spirit world. It is the force behind justice, and its power is to oblige right action, thought and deed.  He is also a trickster, a little rascal, like the Native American coyote energy, who can teach us how to play but also how to get in trouble. Dog can often see him/herself as above the law.

Visualise the Icon of Dog

Visualize Nawal TZ’I’ / DOG by looking above at the gylph at how the face of a dog blends with an evolved brain, double-shaped to represent the complex awareness required to transcend duality. The face represents the senses which feed the brain. You may see this represented on the sacred staff used by indigenous authorities.

A Dog day is a good day to:

Every day has a purpose and a Dog day is a good day to: ask for help with legal problems and divine intervention for any kind of issue. Ceremonies that are offered on the day of TZ’I’  are done to mitigate any negative forces, use the spiritual authority for visions that will aid the understanding for the proper application of justice, ask forgiveness for any evil thoughts and misuse of resources from Mother Nature. 12 TZ’’I’ is a good day for midwives to do their work which holds very high authority.

The Highest Expression

Highest expression: Dog energy is that loving, faithful, playful friend of humans that has keen survival instincts. Life for a Dog is straightforward, simple and automatic. It is simultaneously carnal and spiritual. Dogs are decisive, sensitive, spontaneous and courageous. Their actions are predictable and their standards are high. They do not hesitate and know, totally and completely, how to be and what to do. Their counsel reflects their higher mind and positive intentions. They are good in community and make excellent leaders, advisors. judges and advocates.

A Lower Expression

Lower expression: A Dog person can be hedonistic, overly sensitive and short-sighted. The downside of this energy reveals the disequilibrium that occurs when wisdom is overcome by sloth. They can find difficulty getting along with others with their “my way or the highway” attitude. Their selfish desires can make them flamboyant and manipulative. Carlos Barrios says that if they are born on an odd number day, they can be disliked by others. Their salvation comes through working with an Ajq’ij and perhaps becoming one.

Dog Health

Health:  Dog people can easily become emotionally unstable, confused and insecure. Their illness is caused by insecurity and sexual inappropriateness.  Addiction is the worst enemy of his life and may take them to their grave. Healing involves a hard struggle but has the power to break the vicious circle.

Compatibility

Compatibility: Because Dog is a sign from the North the color is white, and is compatible with other signs from that group: Wind, Death, Jaguar and Flint. There is also an attraction to those of the opposite direction, where the color is yellow: Net, Seed, Road, Wisdom and Sun
