        White Wizard - Dreamspell

The Mayan sacred calendar, the Chol’qi, is comprised of 20 Day Lords, glyphs, day signs, or archetypal energies. The Jaguar is the queen of and the voice of the jungle, wild, mysterious, powerful and depicted often on the remains of the great Mayan civilization, ceramics, stone carving, temple mantles, masks, staffs, you name, it.

Visualize the icon of the Jaguar: Note several variations of the glyph. From left to right they are: Codex Madrid, Codex Dresden and two examples of Classic Maya epigraphy. This is the face and spots of a jaguar, the queen of the jungle. The spots are also interpreted as the spiritual dimensions in which Jaguar consciousness has access to, the vortices of our Earth or female reproductive organs.

A Jaguar day is a good day to: The ceremonies offered on this day ask for forgiveness for the exploitation that we do to Mother Nature, for protection against any negative energy. Since Jaguar is of feminine essence, it is a suitable day to acknowledge the work of women. The Maya also consider this a special day to pray for the lives and vigor of domestic and wild animals, good harvest and wisdom from the ancestors.

The highest expression: Jaguars are intelligent and have the potential to become highly skilled artists, healers, scientists and philosophers. They have access to wisdom from other dimensions and ancestors, and often cultivate their supernatural powers. They love to be popular and successful materially.  Their feline energy makes them cunning, courageous, physically strong and agile.

A lower expression:  Jaguars who do not acknowledge their spirit world become depressed, irritable and prone to jealousy and arrogance. Their worst side is vain, angry and mean.

Health:  It is important for Jaguars to live close to the earth, especially the mountain, hills and plains, so that they may have constant reminders of the energy that created and nurtures them, otherwise they will be prone to physical and mental problems.

Compatibility: Influenced by the energy of the North, the color white, Jaguars will be attracted to like day signs, those in their same soul group: Wind, Flint, Death/Transformer and Dog. Persons born on days that are influenced by the opposite direction, South, where the color is yellow will also resonate with Jaguars: Net, Seed, Road, Wisdom and Sun.
